Hardback published by Macmillan & Co. in 1891.
This is a book in Good condition. There is “215” written on the front fep but no other marks or inscriptions. The pages are clean and mostly well bound with some foxing. There is gilt edging on all three edges, the first twelve pages are a little loose only being held in place by the bottom binding. The covers are in Good overall condition with obvious signs of shelf wear, bumping to the corners, rubbing to the edges, a few marks and substantial damage to the spine which is split two thirds from the top where it attaches to the back cover. There is a preface by Anne Thackeray Ritchie and a great many illustrations by Hugh Thomson. This copy was printed just a month after the first printing.
