This is a book in Fair condition. There are no marks or inscriptions. The pages remain mainly clean, bright and well bound as block although the front cover is completely loose and the back cover is mostly loose. The uncut pages are suffering from foxing throughout. All 7 plates and the frontispiece remain intact. The covers are in Poor overall condition with very obvious signs of shelf wear. The front cover is loose but includes the front fep and the frontispiece, only a very small section of the spine remains, the back cover is attached only by a single cotton binding thread. There is a full catalogue of Morland’s work at the back of the book which indexes the work to a page in the book where it is described together with an Appendix. Inside of the front cover is a book plate confirming that this copy was owned by Thomas Sopwith, FRS, FGS who was the grandfather of Thomas Sopwith who designed and built the Sopwith Camel aeroplane.
